What’s wrong with my Duncan? Emergency!

I came home to this what is it I’m freaking out! Help!!!

Mine do it all the time anytime something makes them mad. Sometimes just at random they should open back up in a bit of time

I would not worry too much . I had a Duncan come back from almost a skeleton they are hardy

If you don’t see any pests on it or anything, I’ll bounce back. Mine act weird from time to time. I’ve seen stringy stuff, super puffy, closed up, etc.

Overall looks healthy to me.

Mine look like that from time to time even for a couple days sometimes. I wouldn’t stress it yet

It is a common occurrence with duncans. Something enters the water column and they close up. They should be fine after a few days on their own.

Mine are normally big and flowing in the wind. However, every 6 months or so they close up tight for a few days and every time it happens I have heart failure. I start to worry and they come back every time. It seems like every time this happens, the colony has a growth spurt afterwards.

It’s been more than 4 days and that yellow stuff is getting worse on my Duncan and it’s actually concerning me

Flow, Temp, Chemicals in the Water. Nitrates getting high something died maybe a crab idk what you have so it could be a ammonia spike.
Could be the lighting could be it having a waste movement lol.
That for you to find out and remember. Start testing my best advice.

Fish right now because I’m focusing on corals I have emerald crab a couple of hermits and snails I feed reef roids and live baby brine shrimp it’s a 13.5 gal evo tank protein slimmer and a sump phosphate and nitrate pads so I don’t know what it could be and I also do bi-weekly water changes of 2.5 gallons and I do twice dosing per week of all the trace elements

Then you’ll have to feed your Duncan directly with shrimp. Poor guy is starving. They eat fish poop and like po4.

Also, make sure he’s at bottom of tank in sand bed out of the way of direct light.
