What’s wrong with my Duncan? Emergency!

I doubt its starving. I'd guess something is wrong with water parameters. Do a series of small water changes. I see that you have what I would call a mixed reef? You have to understand that with a mixed reef, it is difficult to keep all coral happy and healthy. Just yesterday I lost my monti coral, don't know why exactly, and probably wont ever. If I were to post every issue with all my coral, I would be asking for help on a daily basis. Just how things are some time.

I realise that most corals when disturbed or stress, produces the long "stringy" fiber at majority of times. Even sps does the same thing too ...

Ok thanks guys I’ve tried the low lighting before it didn’t help and my parameters are on point I use the Red Sea testing kit

Wish I could be of more help .. I’d do 10% wc every day until things start looking better.. everyone has corals that for some unknown reason don’t make it well in there tanks ...

Thank you I’m currently moving it around to see where it will like best but the strange thing is my 55 gal tank is the exact same water and everything but my Duncan’s in there are doing amazing

It’s been a month and I feed 3 times a week what should I do now?

I apologize if this sounds harsh but Leave it alone, every time you touch or move it you will cause more stress. Corals are sessile invertebrates meaning they do not move and do not like changes. If it still accepts food it is doing just fine so find a place that you think is suitable and leave it be. Duncan’s are not exactly picky when it comes to lighting and flow. I think it will return to its former glory if you just leave it be for a while.

I left my Duncan for dead 3 months ago.. one of them anyway because I had a dyno outbreak and it lost 90% of its flesh it then fell of its plug and was down behind some rocks so I left it. It now has 9 heads

Sometimes, I notice my duncans close up like that for 24~36 hours and then notice new head growth.

Still no missing flesh / pure white skeleton showing correct?? If not then it’ll be fine I’ve seen others on this forum that never have the long tentacles out. They looked like an acan that had retracted fully. Just a color splat on the end of a stump and yet they keep adding heads.
