What alkalinity do you shot for in you tank?

I just set up a calcium reactor on my tank, and now my alk is around 12 dKh, which has me concerned. The tank is SPS only, a 180g. Does anyone know if this is too high? Should I turn off the reactor until the corals grow out some and the demand increases?

I'd keep the water flowing, but shut off the CO2 for a bit. Then when down to where you want the alk, slowly restart the CO2.

I run mine at 8.5. I'm carbon dosing and the recommendation is to keep alk lower when doing so.
