I use those pre mixed nutrisea containers. They hold almost 5 gallons, see through, safe, easy to fill, and very inexpensive.

I use cereal containers from Walmart (I think about 1 gallon). What I like about these is the large mouth opening, making it easy to refill from the gallon jugs of alk and calc I make.

Looks good...I bet you don't have to refill them too often...since I'm new to dosing, I assume that once properly dissolved that the components don't settle out/precipitate over time? or do these larger dosing containers need a quick shake every once in a while?

Liters, all of them. Helps me visualize how many days of dosing left and how many liters of the mix I need in order to fill the containers.
I should have been more specific, what is the size of the actual container?

They look like THESE, I'm wondering how wide they are.
Just guessing, but if the cap is 63mm in diameter, I'd bet the jug is around 4-4.5" wide judging by the photo.

Might depend on what your using, i use triton and theres a little precipitation but not much at all. I don't typically shake them but i do heat up the water when i mix the alk portion to dissolve it better.

space is a bit of an concern for me . . . i went with the BRS space saver container
