Cheers mateI use this meter seems to work great for me. Calibrated it out of the box and recalibrate monthly just in case.
When I get my Big tank I will get the APEX for a pico seems a little overkill but maybe not.Apex

lol agreed. Or buy and use now... you are good to go later. When I get my Big tank I will get the APEX for a pico seems a little overkill but maybe not.
That seems cheap enough is that the full unit?Trying this one at the moment, but next one will probably be back to cheapest i can find on Amazon again. I really have not found a significant difference personally in how often i need to calibrate or accuracy between cheap and moderately priced ones.

Double Junction Lab Grade pH Probe
Why does BRS recommend this? When it comes to probes not all are built alike. We went through many different brands of probes to bring one in that we were comfortable putting our name on. With high-quality materials, the BRS Lab Grade pH probes will last longer than most other standard grade...www.bulkreefsupply.com
Ive just checked ur build mate your way ahead of me haha ive looked into apex and ill get it eventually but tank is only 35 gallons atm and only 6 months old and im a first timer so need to do another year and see if reefings for me before i spend thatLol... naw i think its a good tool to help make reefing easier.
Hey wait I actually do use their pH test. I won't use API for anything critical but on the rare occurrence that I check pH I really do use API.API... Practically the best test kit on the market.

I was kinda making a joke. Lol. I do have their test kits on hand. I honestly don’t measure Ph. But when I have measured ph using the API it always says the same thing. For more critical stuff I definitely use different kits. Hanna for Alk, Phosphate, and copper. Red Sea for calcium and magnesium. And Nyos for Nitrate. I’ll also use API for cycling. I find the ammonia and nitrite easy to read. I know many people have had false positives using API for ammonia. I personally never have. I will say their nitrate kit is complete junk.Hey wait I actually do use their pH test. I won't use API for anything critical but on the rare occurrence that I check pH I really do use API.
I've been considering an apex for about a year now, but I'm cheap...and it's cramped inside my stand so I don't really want to do the work to wire it up. As I'm putting more and more money into corals I'm starting to think it may be worth it. Maybe next Black Friday when it goes on sale LOL.
Yep I know you were joking. I like so many people bought the master saltwater kit and since I have moved on to better tests. The only API that I use is pH and it's rare I check it.I was kinda making a joke. Lol. I do have their test kits on hand. I honestly don’t measure Ph. It’s way way off. But yes, definitely stray away when things are more critical. Lol!!!
