What are these all over the glass?

Definitely having some labored breathing. I don't see any signs of cryptocaryon or bacterial infection on it's skin.

Yeah Tuesday was the last time I noticed anything external. I've been going off the assumption that it's mainly gill related. Maybe the exterior ich was fought off? He has been a very healthy and fat fish up until this Monday.

I've been feeding frozen mysis 3-4 times a day soaked in selcon and feed live baby brine about once a month.

I've been reading about brooklynella but I've not seen any related symptoms other than the rapid breathing. No redness, skins problems, white coating, etc.

See my above edit on bacterial blooms. It could be simple lack of oxygen from a bacterial bloom. Or it could be ectoparasites attacking the gills. Velvet or crypto they attack the gills first.

Well, you said you saw spots so lets assume it's either crypto or velvet. A 5 min FW dip should provide some relief and you've got him up to 0.5 ppm so as long as he's got plenty of oxygen I think you've done what you can and he should improve. I assume you've got the basics like ammonia and plenty of hides for him etc covered.

Thanks for the info. He's in a 29 gallon and I've got 5 gallons of pre-treated saltwater mixing tonight for a water change tomorrow. I'll be sure to clean them out. I've got an air stone, ammonia badge, and Pvc hides. Hopefully the little guy pulls through.
