What are your favourite blennies?

Having Midas too, but this guy’s unusual look and weird character just makes me [emoji2956]
I added sea cucumber to my tank last week, so now I can watch him ‘riding’ the poor thing, hehe

My fav to look at are orange spot blennies, the two I’ve had were both very shy though. Personality wise either a starry or lawnmower, they are always happy to come over and say hi!

Agreed. The two of them are such characters. Everytime I see the Lawnmowers at my LFS come over and sit on their tails just staring at me (as if a puppy at the Petshop saying "Please take me home")

I've had an orange-spot, loved it but lost it. Currently have a starry and midas, and like them both - it should be noted that the starry gets along very poorly with Ctenochaetus tangs, who view one another as competition for resources, and that the midas has been kind of a jerk to the blue-streak cleaner wrasse I added a couple of weeks ago ... not something I'd have expected.

I've been toying with the idea of a trio or so of fang-blennies - probably either green-canaries or forktails.

I'm a sucker for most of the Ecsenius spp. blennies; all have that comical expression with the large eyes.
Currently, I have an African Midas Blenny in my 32gal soft coral reef.
But out of all of the different species available, I have to say that my old White Lined Pictus Blenny was my favorite.

I'm another Midas blenny fan fave. Soooo much personality. Had one a few years ago. Had him for almost 6 months til he decided to go sky diving without a parachute. Miss that blenny. Have to get a hood b4 i get another one. Sigh.

I have no idea I found them when I googled barnacle blennies. I dragged their picture to the top to see more picture like it. I think they are called gulf spectrum blennies. Just did another google search the scientific name is emblemaria hypacanthus.

Starry is personality-wise my favorite. But I have a Midas story too:

In my old 65G, I decided to rescape my rock from a rockpile to something more minimalist. My LFS was happy to take back some for his fish systems. I threw a bunch in a large styrofoam box, laying some wet newspaper over to keep it "live" and dropped it off. Maybe 20 minutes later, I realize my prized Midas is missing. After checking the floor, I called the LFS realizing my stupidity. I was probably too late. The rock was still in the box in the back. They immediately threw the rocks in a tank and the "King" midas blenny happily began swimming around the tank. He was fine. Not sure how he did it.
