Just wanna know what your pet peeves are when it comes to your tank. I keep a pretty clean and algae free tank. I hate it when someone comes over and points out that one aptasia or bubble algae you may have overlooked. I'm like of all the nice corals in the tank you just have to point out the one bad thing u see. :(

I would have to agree with the above. When someone comes over for some great corals, healthy and everything, then they pick out one tiny thing.

Also, when you go to someone's place and they have hair algae all over, glass isn't clean, etc.

I am all about presentation. 1 or 2 aiptasia can pop up over night and easily be missed. But hair algae and other bigger issues show the owner doesn't care much.

mine would have to be clean glass.no streaks drives me crazy

+1

I would also add that I hate when people try to push "their" way of doing things on you. We all know that there many ways to do everything in this hobby.

I REALLY hate this. Most of the members in my local club live 60min away and it sucks to make a trip and the tank looks like crap. Feels like a complete waste of time. Most of them don't even think anything is wrong with their tank. LOL!!!

+1 on dirty tanks. But my biggest one is attempting to fix one fallen frag and toppling 5 more...

Haha! This just happened to me yesterday when I was cleaning my glass! Bumped my frag rack with my hand and things just started tumbling...

The one thing that bugs the crap out of me is if someone ask you for advice and does the opposite when they get home or look right at you and say that wont work.

I have a couple of pet peeves. One is not enough outlets for all the plugs!!! :P

The second would be I don't care for tanks with no backgrounds and you can see all the electrical wiring and plumbing behind the tank. Another one of mine is when powerheads are just thrown wherever and not really "hidden" It seems like my eyes always draw towards the big thing in the corner or the back.

Hopefully I don't offend anyone!

The few scratches I have drive me crazy. Nothing like clean glass with a green line going across it. I also have love/hate relationship with such a selection. Everytime I fill my want list, 28 new morphs or corals pop up that I want but have no room for. I remember when my 120g seemed like a monster, now its just a nice size nano.

People who say the limit they coincidentally chose for how many fish they keep in their tank is THE limit for everyone.

Tang Police, just people that want to tell you what you can;t keep in your tank haha

Id have to agree with all of you guys. when my wife asks me to help her clean the house first thing I do is start with my tank. Dirty tank equals a dirty house to me

No matter how balanced a system is, it can often use a little sprucing up. Without the big tidal surges we see in nature, we have to give our tanks a helping hand.

when my clean up crew happens to bump/knock frags into each other and they have a battle over night and you can tell which coral won by morning :( ...often being the coral you care for more

When somebody tells you that you can't do something just because they read it on a forum somewhere

I often found shooting in very cold new water after a water change would stimulate various inverts to spawn, and make the whole tank "come alive"....
