Great answers everyone...Mine was watching my fish steal mysis from the mouths of my corals..especially from my chalices.
I remember one now......
It irritates me to no end when I see corals labeled things that they are not, like African zoanthids, Deepwater Japanese zoanthids etc.....Or any other coral labeled to be from locations that either A. are impossible or B. illegal to bring into the country.

Walking into your LFS and having the people who work there tell you what you want to hear and sound like they're an expert just to sell you a piece of coral or a fish when in reality, they're not too bright when it comes to saltwater at all. I know this is a sensitive subject (supporting your LFS), but it's starting to wear on me and keep me from visiting these places.

a local fish store that when pricing his colony's says, "well I could cut that into approxomantly 43 frags at approx $5/polyp online and each frag would have 3-4 polyps so that totals (gets out calculator) $860...but for you I'll take $800." and its a freaking colony of eagle eyes. but...he does it with EVERY coral in the store....soooooo annoying. I go in there and ask him prices on everything just so he has to do all that stuff. best part is...i've worked in 2 fish stores and done the orders for both and know what he pays for everything...he's on crack!

I really hate this. If they are frags already then fine., but don't try and sell a colony at a "by the polyp/eye" price. Not cool. I just went to a guys house and he was like, "Well if you put that online it would be $200 per eye and it has 8 eyes, so thats like $1600". I'm like, "I know what it sells for online. I know what it's worth if I frag it up. I wanna know what u want for it right now".
End result... I gotta great deal on a nice coral.

- Local reefers wanting frags $10 when I paid $100 for a frag and grew it out
- Local reefers wanting free stuff
- My own tank. It never looks clean or full (except the sandbed full of frags)
- Reefers who cut 1/2" frags from 10"x10"x10" colonies
- Reefers that come to your pad and get frags then you go to their place only to hear, "I dont have time to frag today", or "Make me a list and I'll get them to you next time".
- Reefers that tell your local club you have some type of pest when you dont.
- I could go on, and on.

Stupid people... Not just the type that don't know something, but the kind that doesn't have a clue and doesn't even want to try to find any information... but they can tell you everything you are doing wrong!

Photo shopping corals then selling them based on the photo shopped image. Making the coral look nothing like what it looks like in person.
biggest pet peeves:
- LFSs that battle each other and always trash talk each other to you (that's not why i am there!)
- LFSs that don't care that they have pests (monti nudis, red bugs, flatworms, bryopsis) or care that they're giving them to you
- LFSs that inflate their prices and don't give you a break even though you go there and spend there all the time
- LFSs that label everything as "ultra" or "super ultra" grade when it's just wild shipped stuff with bright colors because the polyps are shrunken
- bryopsis (ugh!)
- cleaning your front panes only to stick your hand in and have water drip on the outside, you not notice, then have to clean it all over again
- people like my buddy that can't keep discos alive yet is always trying to give me reef advice about how water changes aren't that necessary and how you don't need to top off everyday
- i can go on forever too

i don't know if this was stated but i hate when people come over the house and have a need to play with my magnetic algea scrapper. while doing this they hit my corals and sometimes knock them down.

Then don't leave the magnet cleaner in the tank? I never leave them in the tank for that same reason and algae starts to grow on it, plus the magnet cleaner takes up valuable space and just doesn't look good.
