My number one peeve is when I have everyone over to look at the tank they all feel that they MUST touch the glass with their fingers to point out things! Even after telling them 100 times don't touch the glass..

Or when your sister in law comes over and thinks the magnet on your modded maxi (old pumps I had) is your glass cleaner, tries to "clean" the tank for you, only to find out that its a pump that is now fallen in the sand, blowing crap EVERYWHERE, burying stuff, ect. ect. and now you have to spend an hour "cleaning" up her mess.....with a smile mind you! :cry:

Someone thinking they have the one and only certain coral that came from the ocean. Just because it didnt come from them makes it a fake. HATE IT!
It drive me nuts when someone comes over to look at my tank and they go Oh whats this cute little guy and they point to a hermitt crab. I have hundreds of dollars in coral. and a hundreds of dollars in fish, they notice the 50cent crab AHHH!!!

Great thread so far here are some of my pet peeves
lowballers, when I say the Frag is 40. And they keep asking if I will take 20. Sad to say someone pist me off a while back where the Frag was thrown agianst the wall and I said here u can now have it for free.-)
trendy coral collectors especially the newbies much nice stuff that doesn't have or need a name
future le's lol I am selling a future tyree chalice who no one knows when it will be one. I do love the term evaluation coral it seems more acceptable
imposter corals are another one
booger Frags like how am I going to enjoy that coral this decade
someone calling there frag a clolony or mini colony at that and then they Frag it to get there money back
all nice corals and crappy equipment ticking time bombs and we are supposed to feel sorry for them when it crashes
don't even get me started on peoples tanks lol

My pet peeve is when someone comes over and looks at my tank and says "yeah i can do that too" knowing all too well that they won't invest the time,money or research to try and have a balanced system. The last person said " so how much money do you have in this, 500 bucks?", i just said Sure!

Yeah that is always a bumber to hear, how anybody can do it, but they never do.
Its amazing the amount of time, effort, knowledge, and money it takes to have a successful nice looking reef. Ignorance plays a big part in some peoples minds I think.
I DEFINETELY have a lot more respect and admiration for those reefers that I have seen with a successful, nice looking reef now. The more educated I have gotten about what it takes from my own experience, I realize now what it takes. Prior to that, the peoples tanks that I saw were so clean looking, they made it "look" easy on the outside......

LOL!!! Nothing ever fits back the same.
Happened to me last nite ... after my branching Lobophyllia started attacking my Cynarina (fortunately I was just about to dine) and I had to re-arrange and all Hell came loose ... when I tried to see what's a good spot to place the Lobo ... :cry:
