Noobies using "Purple Up" to get coraline algae!!! Now it is on the glass and have to scrape it of once a week. As the saying goes, "be careful what you wish for, it may come true"!!!!!!! And "Purple Up" is a waste, it is lighting, and Mg, Ca and Alk levels in propper levels, and a bit of time on a new tank.

Mine is knowing that no matter how long your tank has been going good and no matter how much you know and how good your equipment is and no matter how hard to try so nothing goes wrong that one small faliure can cause years of work and thousands of dollars to be null and void due to a tank crash!
People who tap on the glass....kids are an exception but once you are told once you better stop!!! Drives me nuts....plus finger prints!

Another pet peeve is having no cash for other things (things not reef related). That and the family asking what I want for xmas or a birthday "that has nothing to do with fish"

When my kid jumps in the same room as my tank, everytime he jumps I think everything is going to go crashing. That and when I have a new fish I know won't come out if I am near the tank so I feed and watch from a distance and he goes running through just as the new fish is getting ready to come out to eat.
I like that one, no one ever want to get me fish stuff.

I hate this also!!! they have an easy one way ticket to get us an easy gift that they know we are going to like!!! and they dont wanna buy it for us.. My girlfriend does this every holiday and b-day.. what do you want??? and I will point out the hundreds of corals i have seen online.. and she still sits there I dont know what to get you.... AHHHH
