What can be causing this type of STN

Before I post all of my parameters , and measurements I was wondering if any of you guys dealt with this. And what can cause it. This is a jason fox flame I initially got it form a guy as a frag with 3 branches , it started to STN in my old tank so i fragged all 3 branches off it healed up and started to grow , all 3 pieces fully encrusted on the plug and some. Now all 3 pieces began showing stn in a similar fassion , my other acropora that was shoing the signs of stn is a purple tort rest of the corals seem to be fine for now, any ideas?

could be anything.. Have know parameters, changes to tank, lighting pretty much everything..

Update the thread tomorro when your lights come back on. To me that just looks like mes filaments (feeding). Almost all of my acros do this at night when i feed

Also may be fighting with that pectinia is dangerously close. Pectinia have a nasty sting, and i wouldnt keep anything down stream of one lolol

The filaments come out at night, in the morning the tissue recedes on the same spot, then at night I get the filaments at the edge of the recession point , and it recedes some more, basically goes on and on. I'll post up a pic tomorrow in the Am. The problem is my pectinia is having the same problem it receded at the tips a bit.

State your parameters first mate.

It will either be water quality or a sneaky nocturnal coral eater. I had this issue with a coral eating starfish

Ok so there will be a lot of parameters. 1 Alkalinity is dosed by a calcium reactor. Please disregard the 10.5 this is the reading from the beginning of the tank setup, my average alk is around 7.7 usually between sometimes goes down to 7.3 and up to 8.4

Calcium was at 380 I ended up raising it to 450 over 4 day period . ( STN have been happening before that. )

Magnesium - I've always had Low Magnesium around 1000 , The coral you see in the picture grew in that level of mag. ( I raised it recently from 1000 to 1200 again over a few weeks

Nitrates - kind of low in this tank ( Ive been suspecting that this could cause my issue, ) ( the spike in reading was me testing my second tank ) usually its between 2-3ppm

PO4 - Low( this could also be causing my issue) dont mind the outlier of .14

Potassium around 350-360 it was always around there.

PH - it runs pretty low in general

Salinity is always at 1.025

I feed Oyster feast and Nyos Amino acid , I recently increased my blue channel from 55 to 70 , and decreased my white channel from 40 to 25 . I am thinking this could have caused my problems.

temp is between 78-82 all the time

not sure what else I should add .

I will be checkign my par in a few days

That temperature swing, and PO4 of .14 both seem too high to me.

+1 PO4 not stable to high . Stop Oyster feeding that is throwing your Po4 high.

I'm going through a similar fate with my corals. It could be many things but from IME it is related to a swing of some sort(alk, salinity). Unfortunately once stn starts it is difficult to stop and it will spread to other sps. If you can try to isolate your affected corals into a qt tank.

More often than not a coral with declining health (malnourishment) will succumb to bacterial devastation.

Are the mesenterial filaments still out during the day? Is the skeleton exposed?

My po4 is always between 0-.03 the reading of .14 was registered at the beginning of this tank when I had no corals in there. Temp I should look into.

+1 PO4 not stable to high . Stop Oyster feeding that is throwing your Po4 high.

Hard to get my po4 above .03 I'm actually using OF to raise po4 a bit, since I was thinking 0 po4 is detrimental too.

Ohh I gotcha... I missed that part in the original message, my apologies. Why such a high temp swing? Do you know? With the Apex you should be able to dial that in to half a degree.
