Well with the snow falling here in Indiana today there was no way I was leaving so I managed to get every pump, my skimmer, and reactor cleaned today. Also fixed my spider web of wires in my stand since its not easy to unplug cords and pull them out when they are all tangled together. (I promise that if I had taken a before pic you would notice big difference)

So did you do anything with your tank/tanks today?

Lol I thought about doing a lot, as I listened to the snow blowers and plows here in Minnesota...but I am trying to leave things alone! I struggle with what I call Tank OCD...

I had to do something about them wires they were driving me nuts so I figured since they will be unplugged to just go ahead and give everything a good cleaning.

I checked the phosphate and nitrogen levels, (those dang color charts are hard to tell!) and then we fed all the corals. I also bought myself a really pretty yellow coral banded shrimp! Im excited for him :) He is SUPER pretty!

I destroyed the tank to rescue my fish with velvet and put them in QT. 2/3 of rock out of tank, all corals unhappy and still three fish to go, but the sick ones are out and being treated. So I think this qualifies for the 60 cube rework-take 2 thread.

Dang. Good luck

I had the best day! I have tried to catch, fish using a size 24 submersible fly, and as of today trap my rotten Coral Beauty. Absolutely beautiful fish, but an absolute terror on all of my coral (LPS and even some SPS). I'm an absolute idiot for thinking he'd be reef safe in my tank ! After a month of on and off trying to get the little mother out of my reef today he's finally gone!!

Hope all works out in the end. I feel like more and more tanks have been getting hit by velvet lately.

I made the mistake with a tank and letting my gf at the time pick any fish or coral she wanted and of course she picked a coral beauty and I regretted it the whole time the tank was up and running.

Fed Acan's Mysis shrimp in the early morning...20% WC, GFO/Carbon change, filter sock and skimmer cleaned in the afternoon...watching my fish eat dinner as a reward...

Red Sea Colors Test

I am pretty sure that is what we actually did use today. Its just still hard to tell the color difference sometimes. its such a slight change in the color. Its like best 2 out of 3 opinions on the color it seems lol!
