What do you LOVE about your reef?

The one thing I would keep after learning what not to do, is having good lighting. Wether t5s, mh, pc or leds, having a quality light of any of these choices made the biggest change for me.

I love that when family, friends, strangers, walk into my house the first thing that catches their eyes is my reef and always make a nice comment about it.

I have 2 tanks and love both of them for different reasons. My bioCube is the one that I want the sump for is my first one. I love it because its my first and holds my only corals as of now and it feels so much like mine. when I look at it and see that the corals are doing so great I know it is because of me and that it is my small piece of the ocean. every time I walk by it I have to look at it and I want it to be as healthy as I can get it and a sump would help so much.

My tank is approaching 2 years old and SPS /acro's are now becoming easier to keep healthy and colorful. they are more resilient. On the down side phosphates are becoming more difficult to control

I love my zen garden Zero Edge tank I rebuilt after buying used (could never afford a new one lol) that I have in my home office, the sound of babbling water (on purpose!), rippled light reflected on the ceiling and my collection of cardinalfish (they don't like to jump!) and LPS corals keep me company while I work on my computer all day long. And since it is mine and in my office I can keep the door off the cabinet all day and stare at my lovely Geos Reef Custom Sump!

I love the fact that after all this time researching and changing my mind, it finally happened! And the fact that I'm going fish hunting this weekend.

One thing I love about my tank is how now that things are up and running, things are actually pretty simple to maintain! Clean the glass every day or 2, change out filter pads and water changes bi weekly. Only thing I haven't automated is some of the additional supplements I dose 2x a week (aminos, trace elements). Advice I got on R2R prior to setting it up really helped me plan out "what if" situations like water spills/over flows, quick disconnects in plumbing making pump maintenance easier etc.

I love how simple my tank is to maintain. 2% wc per day keeps all my major elements in line. The only other maintenance I do is change the socks on Wednesday and Saturday, clean the glass 2x a week, and blow out the rock once a week.

So far what I love about my Tank so far is.... I finally have it up, and I have done most of the stuff myself. DIY sump, DIY stand, and DIY modified Skimmer and Plumbed it myself. I look forward to the journey ahead with this tank

I love the way all the kids come over and notice every little detail. I'm shocked every time they remember something's name. One little girl across the street wanted to know why I'm trying to kill my pretty aiptasia. I almost choked on a strawberry when she said it. I had to tell her I may be getting more...

Hard to nail one down but if I had to choose it would be my fish. They act just like my 3 labs, they are always happy to see me and always want to eat, the corals are cool too.

As far as the displays are concerned, I love the way the fish always seem so happy to see me. I'm sure they're just anticipating a meal, but I like to think they just love me. I also love watching my corals grow and flourish. As far as equipment goes, the ATO and auto doser have made life easier and I feel much more comfortable adding a little throughout the day rather than a lot all at once.

What I love about my tank is having a hobby that is so rewarding and challenging at the same time. That may hobby is enjoyed by anyone who walks into my home. And the great community around my tank and all those that have had a hand in getting it to where it is today.
