What do you think about Radion XR30 ?

I had them in my cart during Black Friday and pulled out. 2 reasons 1) They will have the new version come out soon? 2) I see people selling them

What’s the verdict on these are they really like t5 ?

2. People sell lights all the time. Are you sure they're the new G5s or could it be the older G3/G4s?

Ohhhh I forgot. Mobius isn't for everyone.

For me I don't fiddle. I set the photo period put up the AB+ template and leave them alone.

I like blue tooth only because there is decreased risk of exposure to the interenet. Also blue tooth works without a router so in a power outage situation I don't need to fight with the router.

EDIT: I have gotten over the bells and whistles I just want my SPS to grow. Other lights seem to focus on management. This is fine if the lights grow coral, because otherwise what's the point.

I assume you have your lights on a battery backup? If not a power outage doesn't matter with Bluetooth or wifi cause the lights are off, right? My router is actually on a battery backup but my lights are not, lol. I have my pumps and everything life essential on battery backup but not the lights. I have never used Radion's but my LFS uses them exclusively. No matter what settings I try on my AI Prime HD's I cannot get the same coral colors out of the corals I buy from them. They're slightly different, some are muted (greens and purples) and some pop more (yellows, pinks, oranges).

Short term power outage, I don't care about access becuase yes the lights are off.

I am using the EcoTech battery for the pumps.

For clarification I only use the battery so that I have time to make a decision on whether I am going to set up my generator. When I set up the generator then I care about programability. I don't want to have to drag the router to the genny or run cords to get it up. I also try to have things set up so that I have one or two cords that go in the wall. This makes it simple to pull the cords and plug them into the extension cord. It is during the time that I have the generator up that I may have to fiddle with the lights to make sure that I am not burning gas to fast. The bluetooth makes this easy.

I have Google Fiber and not only is their power on a separate grid, but they also have a huge backup generator that keeps the internet running, so I end up getting internet and the ability to stream still during power outages.

No.

You may be able to add it with a card. I am not sure you will have to look that up.

I haven't been in my current location long enough to determine that.

I do want a back up for small outages they are definitely a pain.

I use the xr15 and love it. My LfS uses the xr30 blues and they have to break the corals off the frag racks and they are usually encrusting within a few weeks.

Radions are great I’m only selling mine because I like the t5 spread for my huge tank and don’t wanna spend more on radions, I’m selling my barley used ones for really cheap and it comes with the mount shipped! check out my post

Honestly prior to the BRS nonsense I would have endorsed them. Decent lights that can grow coral. Given the BRS nonsense I tried the Noopsyche lights and think they are on par with everything except the controller. After the initial set up, the controller issue is a non event. I sold my xr15 G5 and have been happy as a clam tank has never looked better

Controller issue? Never had a prob with the app , but yeah I like them just don’t wanna spend more , and idk why people want the pro , they want the white look? They still run ab+ on the pro , the blue is nice because it has more blue leds so it won’t look as white and you still can do ab+ i don’t understand most people want “controllability” but still do ab+ on both blue and pro just pro is a whiter light.
