Anyone suggest a cheap Reef safe cement for Aquasaping? Or what do you guys using for Aquasaping? Thanks.

I used aquavitro bond. It took a youtube vid and some common trade skills to learn how to use fairly quickly. Practice with a small amount on something you don't care about much before using on your aqua scape (smaller pieces of aqua scape substrate) I bonded 120lbs of dry rock into 5 manageable sections in approx. 2.5 hrs. once the aqua scape was set up. Tip...Cut a cardboard template representing the footage of your tank, draw a border line around your template showing your max. aqua scape perimeter (leave enough space for things like mag cleaners, siphons, nets, etc... to pass between the rock and the glass). Not much bond has to be used, be sure to press it into the crevices of the rock. The bond will make your skimmer go crazy, so let your skimmer run wet and drain till it cycles back out.

Thanks for the information, will do some research on it.

Kind of expensive but I used the E-Marco Aquascaping Mortar by Marcorocks and worked well.

I used aquamaxx reef welder. Just requires hot water. No complaints on it. Held just fine. My towers are 10” z x 18” tall. 23 lbs each, built with 30 plus pieces each. Can pick the up 1 handed from the top.

Agreed, most of the others require super glue gel to help reinforce or they can start to crumble after a while.
I think it is the extra polymer that comes with it makes it harder.

Aquaforest and Nyos are not to bad though but I always use some super glue gel with them for extra bond.

The problem is i don't have microwave. Lol thanks for suggestion.
No microwave needed! Just hot water is enough as long as your hot water heater is turned up a bit. I have mine set to about half way on the temp dial.

I think auqaforest cheaper than nyos.

Thanks for the great information, I think this is has better value.

I always have used Epo Putty. It's like $10 a pack that makes quite a bit of it, and can be formed in water/saltwater with no ill effects. I've used it for other repairs on stuff and it's never let me down.

JB Waterweld for me. I've used probably 20 sticks of it over the years. It is readily available at HD/Lowes/etc, reasonably priced especially when compared to anything that says "reef" or "marine" and quickly encrusts with coralline so it becomes invisible in short order.

Thanks for all the suggestion and information, I will do all the research on them.
