What does a red sea reefer not include? (and other questions)

Both RS and waterbox have funny names for their tanks. the 220.6 is a 180 gallon. 6x2x2. same as the RS750xxl.

They have different sump layouts, but fairly comparable. If you wanted something specific, it would be a custom job and quite alot more money

i really want a waterbox but there's only one problem i need a lid if im gonna get an eel
Red sea supplies a net/lid for all of their models and i was planning on getting that
Now what if im getting a waterbox
so if i do get a RS then what do i get for the return pump hose

You can go on bulk reef supplies website and order screen top kits for about $50. You can get return hose from bulk reef supply or go to Home Depot and get some. My Waterbox 130.4 used 3/4” hose. The bigger tanks might use 1”. Just get the Waterbox. You won’t regret it. Either way the tank will have to cycle before you can put an eel in the tank. That would give you enough time to build a screen top or order one from clear view lids

Red Sea makes leaky tanks. I wouldn’t even consider getting one.

It does. Clear view makes nice lids too!

Do not get the Red Sea net if you go with a Reefer, it's a piece of junk, it does not suit their tank at all it's just some aluminium bars and a net so you have to cut and do everything yourself. Do yourself a favor and buy something done by a professionnal unless you're good with those things.

and no i suck at making these things myself so ya.
if i never joined this forum i wouldve MAYBE ended up with a messed up net and a (could be leaky tank).
the tanks nice im more worried about the weight distribution of the stand design

The stands are made pretty well actually. If you can’t get hands on with one, I can post some pics of my stand.

plus the apex controler has a probe for salinity

clearview lids are great. they already make lids for waterbox tanks. U culd also get it customized...

Don’t rely too much on the apex probe. It’s not nearly as accurate as a lab refractometer. I use the Milwaukee

When is your est delivery date for the tank? My buddy said that they’re having a hard time getting Red Sea and Waterbox tanks in stock because they’re imported from China. He said you can only get units already in the states and what the stores have is it.

oh ya that's the same refractometer I got the Milwaukee MA887
Also in terms of delivery date i dont know because I pre ordered it not from waterbox (because they dont deliver to canada) but from marinedepot and they were out of stock but will be in stock soon
