Yep. Gfo., Phos-guard, bio pellets. Reduced feeding to 1x week, lights to 4hrs... I didn't have this till I went to led from t5. So color is my hope for the cure. Cause the stock leds are 7500 or 4500. So with 10 and 20k and no red . Should fix it. Or I will look for another t5 fixture.

Note on the led swap. Algae has seem to either slowed or I may believe those 4500 k and red 550 leds are the issue. Will post back and a few weeks.

I swapped out the red and green LEDs from my fixture based on my dislike of the color. Definitely interested in your end results Chris.

Rob, so far so good. That seem to fix the gha problem.

Overdosed my alk about a month ago  corals are finally starting to rebound after losing a couple

Flatworms are thriving as well

While I am away in Brazil, my roommate and a local reefing friend (don't worry...he's southern...SC guy!) told me that my tank is covered in macro-algae and green bubble algae. BOOOOO.

So we (meaning they) replaced the skimmer pump, added GFO into the phosphate reactor, shortened photoperiod (apparently my timer was messed up), increased magnesium, adjusted alk a bit, doubling water changes (from every two weeks to every week), going to add some emerald crabs, added new bulb to fixture, took out old carbon, gonna sift sand during water changes...I'm trying to think of what else...tons of stuff.

I'm hoping they can knock it down a bunch before I get back.

Water change, in a slow process of going bare bottom. Little by little, I'm using a piece of water hose so no shells block the flow. Lol

picked up some salt today, did a water change and rinsed out the sponge filter in the sump. also rehomed a coral from it's frag plug
