My nitrate is 0.1 my phosphate is 0. Alk is 7.7. Im testing with hanna checkers. My tank is over a month old. 2 clowns, 1 blenny. And 1 royal gamma. I have my nyos skimmer 120 running. My system is 53 gallons with the sump 37 gallon display. I feed my fish once a day frozen food a lot of it. And i truly cant get my nutrients up someone help me. My candy cane does not look good. I have a hammer, duncan, mushroom, and scoly, and a frogspawn. How do i dose here? Do i turn my skimmer off for a month? Do i keep it running and dose and if so what do i do?

Dose reef energy or fuel. Have the skimmer on only at night. Feed the fish twice a day minemum.

Allow the skimmer to drain back in rather than collecting.

This would raise both nitrate and phosphate

So i have to turn kff the skimmer and dose that?

Like have the bubbles way below the neck? But wouldnt that collect junk inside the body?
My collection cup has a drain plug in the bottom. That or can remove collection cup completely as mentioned.

Do 1 change at a time. Rule for your entire time reefing. Pick one method, wait 2 weeks to see effects.

Hey Welcome to to reefing. There is nothing to worry about. Your tank is just a month old. Mine is 3 months old now and I’m doing just like you. Be patient, it’ll all come in place. In this hobby you have to be patient and you’re gonna love it. Happy reefing.
