Has anyone used the Eshopps Curve refugium light? (It's rather pricey at about $79.)
It has 3 CREE lights (what are those?) that are 3 watts each @ 6500k.

I've also noticed that some grow lights cast a purple colored light. Any advantage to the purple colored light?

I use the eshopps curve, works extremely well and very bright. Get lots of cheato growth.

Downside: expensive! So worth it IMO. Very small and good on the eyes.

I've used PAR 38 bulbs from www.coralcompulsion.com before with great success. Now I'm using an old AI Sol, just because I had it.
