What is an overlooked fish in the hobby?

Diamond gobies are overlooked I feel. They get a bad rep bc they jump, and they are very accurate jumpers. But they are fairly affordable, around $40usd, but man are they a gorgeous fish, and they perform a great service. They dont toss sand all over the water column. Now they will play basketball with your snails or hermits, but thats just hilarious to watch.

But they do get kinda large for gobies, and arent usually suitable for nano or new tanks.
They’re honestly not overlooked, if anything they’re overrated and really belong kept in larger tanks where sandbeds can sustain their food source long term and not become clean (That’s never a good thing with these gobies).

I believe you and I have debated this topic before LOL, They do sift sand all day, and it is an integral part of their diet. Eating proper prepared food is also essential. You could house a diamond goby fully grown, lets say 5 inches or so, in a 180gallon tank, with a 2-3 inch sand bed. If it ate nothing but microfauna it would still die, even that is not enough sand for the capacity they have to move. Supplementing this diet is key.
