What % is everyone running their LED's at?

So I have a Maxspect Razor 160W LED fixture over my 46 gallon bowfront...I run both my blues and whites at 100% for about 5 hours per day & have been doing so for about 4 months now without issue. I have a mix of zoas, shrooms, LPS, & a few clams(1 maxima,1 crocea)& 2 BTA's. I was talking to a buddy of mine & he seems to think I'm running my lights too high....just wondering what % everyone else is running their fixtures at?

I have a 30 gallon with a 90w thats run for 9 hours at 100 % lol. I got LEDs before they came out with percent control and stuff and also both the blue and whites are on one plug so I cant control when each comes on. I have had no problem keeping any coral or clam except for some species of acro which im not really into( dont have the patience). Im sure I will be criticized for the amount of time I run my lights but again I have had no problems so why change anything

45g running LED's 25-30% whites. blues 75% for 7hours and i leave the blues on for 9hours.

and its 2 led fixtures there both 120w. so 240wats total. mostly zoas in our tank. and rock anemones some torches and acans.

Thanks for the replies, I agree E. Wrasse, if it isn't broke!! I will say that when I add new corals I start them down low & work them up to the top. So far so good though as far as running at 100%

Yeah thats what I do with all of them. Always start low light and if they require more I slowly acclimate them. LEDs are very powerful!!

I'm running 2 Radion Gen 1's and i run them at 100% as well. However i do go from a RB to 12k to 14k,18k,20k, then back to blue so all my bulbs are only running together at 100% when its at 12k which is for about 2-3hrs a day then the whites drop down little by little throughout the day

3 Radion G1 switching from 14k - 18k - 20k @100%. I cranked it up because a bunch of my zoas had elongated stalks. I have been on 100% for about 4 months now.

Ive done par readings on the exact light you've got and at 100% your fine and can grow SPS

I have the Vertex Illumina 260 and my whites are at 60%, royal blue 100%, blue at 90%, UV 70%, reds at 10%. The whites and green I have not turned on yet.

I'm running 2 on a standard 90 and i was running them about 8" above the water but after i hit 85% several LPS shut down so i raised the lights to 12" and had to move my LPS under rocks to hide them from the light, Now the sps thats a diffrent story they love the lights at 100%

I run 2 Radion G2's 8" over a standard 120, my peak out put occurs at 50% for about 4 hours. I did ramp up to 60% for a few days but my Favia responded poorly, so I went back to 50%. On a slightly seperate note, I think 2 Radions would be enough for a 90, but I will look at putting a third fixture on my 120 to help with light spread/shadowing - but my LPS and SPS do very well under them.

I have a single gen 1 Radion 9" over my lps/sps tank. I have it on a 20k color at 65%.
I have 3 gen 1 Radions 10" over my 240 softy tank. It's running the same as the other one.

Good point! My vertex Illumina's are about 4" off the water (manafacture recommendation). Also I'm 95% SPS with great growth. You can check out my LED growth thread:

Rather than buying a 3rd why not just raise them a couple inches and increase the intensity, u r only using about half of what they are capable of doing...

I have a Reefkoi 16K 120W non-dimmable LED so it runs at 100% for about 10 hours on blue and 6 hours on white...

For those with Radions, G1, G2, G3 is there that much of a differance in the output. I see some of you wih the G1 at 100% and according to Mr Saltwater tank puts his G3 at 20%.
I bought an Apogee Par Meter and have been going around to a lot of local tanks measuring par on all type of lights. Seems most LEDs are very similar PAR at the surface. But the penitration power and light spread is a big differance. Take for instance my Vertex Illumina(about $4000.00) no reflectors has a very good light spread and penatration power. And a tank I looked at the other day Maxspec Razor ($500.00) also had good power but the spread was limited and the penatration power was a little week in a 24" tank. I've also measured the Radions and they have great power but 2 fixtures on a 6' tank may be a little week as far as the spread goes. If you raise them I think you'll get good spread and I think they have the power to still reflect PAR off the sand bed. Going next week to measure the G3 very interested to see if Mr Saltwaters 20% holds true.

I have four gen1 radions at 10" above my tank. Currently they are at 55% and am ramping them up 10% a week. The kessil 350w i have over the same tank is at 70% blue 50% white. So far no coral color loss. My tank is a 312 gallon system that is 5'x5'x20" deep

I dont know about the G3 yet but the major diffrence b/w the G1 and G2 is the G2 comes with the TIR lens standard, and they changed the white leds from a 3 watt to a 5 watt, other than that they are pretty much the same. I peronally did the TIR lens upgrade to my G1 and noticed a significant diffrence. As for the G3 i know they come with several additional LEDs that the G1 & G2 dont so im sure that they pack more of a punch but as far as the diffrence B/W the G1 & G2 i talked to a rep about upgrading to the G2 and he told me it was a waste of money that as long as i had done the TIR upgrade the diffrence was very miniscule. he did however say that there would b a major diffrence between the mine and the G3.
