What % is everyone running their LED's at?

I have a 120 with the lights 12 above water. I run two G2's at 40%, but LPS do not open as well. Wonder if I need to turn it down. SPS seems fine.

Ive done par readings on the exact light you've got and at 100% your fine and can grow SPS

Hey this is Nate, the razor guy... I thought 350 on the sand was pretty good... Is it not good?

For those with Radions, G1, G2, G3 is there that much of a differance in the output. I see some of you wih the G1 at 100% and according to Mr Saltwater tank puts his G3 at 20%.
I bought an Apogee Par Meter and have been going around to a lot of local tanks measuring par on all type of lights. Seems most LEDs are very similar PAR at the surface. But the penitration power and light spread is a big differance. Take for instance my Vertex Illumina(about $4000.00) no reflectors has a very good light spread and penatration power. And a tank I looked at the other day Maxspec Razor ($500.00) also had good power but the spread was limited and the penatration power was a little week in a 24" tank. I've also measured the Radions and they have great power but 2 fixtures on a 6' tank may be a little week as far as the spread goes. If you raise them I think you'll get good spread and I think they have the power to still reflect PAR off the sand bed. Going next week to measure the G3 very interested to see if Mr Saltwaters 20% holds true.

Whites - 50%
Red - 20%
Green 35%
All blues at 80%

12 hours a day, but that includes 1.5 hrs. ramp at beginning and end of each cycle.

3 pros over my 180 all about a 14k look at midday run at 100% for around 6 hours. I'm not too sure about the 20% that mr saltwater tank is claiming. I have a few corals probably 8" from the surface lights about 9" from the water. So far corals are looking great and no bleaching. I was running 3 400w mh before the switch so the corals were used to intense light.

I would like to hang them lower, but with ecotechs "genius" fan design of being on the bottom sucking up humidity and any splashing you may get I'm afraid of ruining them internally.

They have a rubber gasket on the inside, but putting it back after the tir lenses were installed it seemed to not fit as tight. I have already had 2 fans go bad having to do the sep program. When i would blow the fans out with a air duster you would get salt creep being blown out as well. I just personally would have designed them on top of the light avoiding splash damage.

If it's too blue try increasing the whites....I would just raise them gradually..

Any pics of the 46 g reef? I'm prob goin to downsize from my 90 to 46 bow & tryin to get Led ideas. Currently I have 2-24" 120 w reef breeders on the 90.... Dont really want to use my old PC for my bow =(

Okay you guys now have me borrowing a par meter to check mine. Anyone here use reefstar LED's? There's a local in my area who's the vender for out here so I got a great price and have never heard anything that wasn't good from other locals who are using them. Oh and I have mine about a foot above water serface and run the blues at 100% and the whites at 75%.

Kimberlylee; hello just thought I'd share a bit of knowledge about LED and Par. Recently I purchased a par meter and went around locally checking everyone's tanks. Many differently LEDs, MH, T5s, DIY... And it seems that all LEDs, from my $3.500 fixture down to Chinese LEDs the par is equal. The major differance I could see, and where you'll benefit from is light spread and par. Some fixture would only give a good par directly under the fixture and some were better at spreading the par over the whole tank.
So with that in mind it also depends what's in your tank. Righ out of the gate I would say 75% on your whites is high. Remember it's more easy to kill coral with to much light vs not enough. And nothing can be said more than watch your corals response and ramp your lights up slowly, like over a month or two. Just my 2 cents.
