Right on Bob.

I wasn't busting on his pics though
I have heard good things about Zack (Nanofins) too, incase anyone was wondering.
I was just trying to find out what people thought of it since the ones I saw looked really dull and bland.
Mainly cause a couple guys asked me about it.

I have those frags ready for you too, btw.

I know you weren't....just wanted to share that WYSIWYG with Zack. Not only have I heard good things about him, I've experienced good things from him (preparing to receive my third shipment from him since spring...that's how good his stuff is).

Can't wait to get your frags and the ones coming from Zack....I'm stoked about both sets!!

Okay Nano - your going to have to pony up some pics of the hyperspace and starwars.
The names got my interest peaked now ;)

The zoaid picture is mine. That is what they looked like when they first came in, to the eye. I also posted a flash pic on zoaid, but of course this isn't color accurate to what you see with your eyes either; unless you just run natural sunlight on your tank. Most of the pics, like Marvin's--no offense, are really washed out and NOT an accurate representation of their colors; at least not under my lights. I suppose if you're just running 67K bulbs to try and max growth or something, they might look like that, but then that's not necessarily what it'll look like in everyone's tank either. They aren't for everybody, but then none are. They are unique in their colors amongst the Protopalys, and I do like 'em. Lighting makes a huge difference for these guys not only for color but for "morphology". They tend to open up best in more moderate lighting. The below picture I'll show is how they look under my TEK 6 T-5 lighting. The colors have changed, but are still very nice. They developed a pastel purple/pink mid halo between the red and blue, but both colors are still very vibrant. The silver on the lash tips has been lost a little, and the green is more dominant, but WYSIWYG. Either you like it or you don't.

Can I ask you what are those white dots on the polyps as i have them in one of my zoas

They're not really white, but just lighter "freckling". This is common under higher light. The Purple Death and Nuclear Green will do the same thing if moved from low light to high light suddenly. Sometimes it just goes away after a while. If you look at some of the smaller, more shaded polyps, you'll notice they don't have any speckles.

Yeah, what are those bumps that pop up on the edge of the polyps? Mine do that too. I really like this paly the more it grows and becomes a minicolony. It's just really different and cool.

Not sure what the function of the nodules are, but if you look closely, they are present on all Protopalys. My purple death and nuclear greens also have them, though not so prominently.

yeah thats why I ask cause I see them in my purple deaths and wanted to just know what was it

Well I have to say, these are definetely pretty cool. I must have seen some that weren't colored up right or something.

I was over at Kholla's house today and have to say he has one of the SWEETEST 30g's I have seen yet. The wife and I were thoroughly impressed with his setup.

His Captian America's looked exactly like Nano-fins picture.
I'm in for a frag now ;)
