What is the most awesome wrasse ever?

They're a good kept secret. Don't tell the masses about them.

DD has gotten a handful over the last several years, but haven't sold one in nearly two years now. Most are collected and sold in Japan via Koji Wada, and very few make it outside the nation.

I've got a certain someone that has given me his word he'll try to get one on an order for me at some point this year; fingers tightly crossed.

I had a Green Bird Wrasse a few years ago. He was great, always active. Almost as bad as a dog....as soon as I walked into the room he started zipping around the tank to get my attention then he's go to the top.....begging for food.

IDK. I love my yellow coris wrasse, functional and the brightest yellow flying around my tank! i also miss my aussie harlequin tusk. that guy was a beauty.

My personnel favorites are McCosker's Flasher Wrasse, A. Feminus ( Blue Striped Tamarin Wrasse) Female, and a Red Coris Wrasse.

If you want one that eats your shrimp, snails, hermits, crabs, flip your corals, tears your frags off their mounts and generally causes chaos and mayhem... a red corris wrasse. We named ours 'El Diablo'.... I hate that fish...

Idk what the exact species is but the one on the front page in the reef spotlight is gorgeous!

Just about any flasher wrasse is an awesome addition to a reef, as far as coloration and character go. I have my eye on a McCoskers flasher wrasse at my lfs, Im just waiting for my pod population to get a bit more stable.

Of all the wrasses I have owned , this Linneatus supermale was the most beautiful! :tongue: I ended up selling him to raise money for my clownfish tank but he went to a good home.
