Anyone know what this is? I thought I had gotten some star polyps with some zoas, but last night they were on the top rock and now down a rock and visibly moving.
It looks like a slug kinda.
Thanks

id bet that one eats zoas. You never know what they eat![]()
its the babies. Thanks all! I grabbed him out of the tank. Too bad he was kinda neat looking, but I have noticed one set of zoas disappearing and melting away, may have been this little guy

Dips won't impact most eggs so that is how many pests get through.Pulled my zoas and dipped them, I dipped them before they went in the tank, but maybe not long enough? I have some baby starfish in one and they aren't too happy after the dip. I was able to get them out of the frag. I will attach a picture

were not doing it right anymore. Dip qt, dip again. qt. dip DT. Same process to get rid of the nudis. but you can do it in the tank. 8 to 16 day life/egg hatch cycle I do believe ime. If you see an adult on the glass or rocks, it just laid eggs.Hmmm... there's a lot of things "getting through" dips these days.....
Totally agree.

all good. what dip did you use![]()
Here they are, 2 of them. 3 legs a heart shaped middle. Brown legs have stripes. Good or bad?
revive, should i get something else? and continue to dip? I know which frags it was on and unfortunately one was a goner and i pulled it out last night. should i keep dipping the other one, and how often?all good. what dip did you use
no, you have to go slow. the dips are a pretty aggressive treatment so you should space them far apart imo. try to keep the zoas where you can see them and maybe look for a good magnifying glass. Thanks, my other zoas still look great, for now.
watched them for about 10 minutes, then back in the tank and saw one about an hour later moving, but they went into hiding. is coral rx any better then revive? I see it is a doorbuster at brs, as well as there ro/di systems. getting ready to pull the trigger on a ro/di and can add in the coral rx if it is better.no, you have to go slow. the dips are a pretty aggressive treatment so you should space them far apart imo. try to keep the zoas where you can see them and maybe look for a good magnifying glass. keep an eye out for adults, use a baster to make the zoas close and look for babies and the egg swirls. its a bummer, but your waiting for the eggs to hatch and then kill them. that's about 8 to 16 days ime.
did the stars survive? revive is mild enough that some inverts do make it through, that's good and bad of course. the theory on dips is the larger animals like coral can take it more than the small ones.
honestly in my only somewhat scientific comparisons experience it doesn't matter. Ive used diluted peroxide too.watched them for about 10 minutes, then back in the tank and saw one about an hour later moving, but they went into hiding. is coral rx any better then revive? also as far as the other frag goes, it hasnt opened up for a few day maybe up to a week, should i consider it gone and just pull it for the greater cause? I dont have a frag qt yet, and main qt is at full therapeutic copper levels.
looking on the furum it seems that peppermint shrimp might eat these nudibuchs? can anyone confirm this?
