What is this weird growth on my frogspawn?

You know when I started this whole saltwater aquarium adventure I did not sign up for all the weird " I will have to dig it out" things OR the " What in the heck is that thing reaching out of the Acan Coral?!?" which we are currently mystified by right now as well!!

IMO, this is a huge part of what makes reef tanks so interesting and worthwhile. People are so paranoid about hitchhikers these days, but they’re kind of what make a reef tank a reef tank, without them it’s just a fish tank/coral display.

Yes but it is way toooo soon for me to handle the unknown. I have only been at it for about 4 months now. LOL... Give me a minute!

If you got one that big, your tank may already been infested. Unless this is a relatively new frag....

Good luck with the fight. This is one of the worst pest to get...some people just end up accepting it

IME it's the small ones that populate quickly and become a pest. My big one was in the tank for over 4 months before I found it. I have been looking every day since then and haven't seen another in my tank. *knock on wood* I probably just jinxed myself.
