Yeah for five minutes and now the tds coming out of the membrane is 3 tds. So that's better. The DI seems to be depleting fast. Could be c02 any ideas?Did you back flush?

Yes a flow 550.One thing it might be. Does it have a flow restrictor on it? I had someone that flew through membranes until I saw the unit missing the flow restrictor and pretty much just in flush mode all the time. After adding one the unit worked like it should of. Pressure would still read normal if one is missing.
When storing it for more than a week should I flush it?You might TDS creep which happens a lot to systems that are not used often- like yours.
Check out this vid on YouTube. That is what I was dealing with as well.
Thanks. Just one more question. How do you clean your rodi unit?Do not try to adjust the temperature, colder wate ractually treats better and gives you lower RO only TDS. 77 degrees is just a number the industry adopted as a standard so everyone would be comparing apples to apples but it is by no means the best temperature.
A flush kit is a waste of time. A DI bypass valve to flush the TDS creep that happens when the system is off is a good idea though and different than a flush kit since it is on the treated side of the membrane while a flush kit is on the waste side..
Your waste ratio of 3:1 to 4:1 is correct for your conditions but you really want to measure it using a clock or watch and measuring cup. Never assume anything.
You can measure your CO2 content using your pH and alkalinity and this nomograph:

or you can buy a test kit to test it more accurately here:

CO2 depeletes DI resin and does not appear as TDS so can be tricky to deal with.
Thanks. If you do a search with my screen name and disinfection it will bring up dozens of threads with my method.
