What is your dream captive-bred fish?

We've had success with black caps in the past the should be to market in the next year or two. Sadly, I don't think any liopropoma is going to be viable for captive-breeding due to their incredibly long larval duration.

oh i just saw this. Do you have any information on how long the larval stage is? Abei angels would be neat. anything rare would be cool... madagascar flashers?

@Biota_Marine do you know how long the larval stage is for lipogramma, I would love to get a broodstock or maybe just a single one. i think if you manage to breed lipogramma, the fish will eventually be available to regular aquarist.

I would love to see some more zebrasoma's be bred in captivity. I would totally shill out the money required for it if it meant less taken from the ocean. Also, some CB gobies like the Randall would be great.

We like a lot of the same fish. Have the poor mans gulf signal blenny with the Caribbean Sailfin blenny. Also have this guy.

I have a captive bred Yellow Tang (Biota). A captive bred Regal Tang. A captive bred Mandarin (Biota). A captive bred Coral Beauty (Biota). A captive bred Starry Goby (Biota) and a captive bred Singapore Angel (Poma Labs). They've all been very healthy. The fish I'd most love to see bred in captivity is the Imperator Angel. I'd mortgage my house for one of those.

Why no CB fire shrimp yet? A few years back there was talk about it having been achieved but not commercialized due to small profit margin. Well the price has almost doubled on these over the last year. Time to start a breeding program.

Would be great to see CB flame angels and flame hawks as well.

Fish i really want. Would be a Moorish Idol, blue hippo tang, and a queen angel.

All 3 i cant keep though. The blue hippo because theyre just ich magnets and i have ich in my tank. Even though thd 4 tangs i have never get it. Its still there. Once i get a fish that an actual true ich magnet like a blue hippo or a powder blue or what not. Ich explodes.

And the queen angel i cant have due to the coral eating. And yea

Have you try to raise any anemones, specifically the S. gigantea and H. malu? In both species, the female take in sperms from the water, internal fertilization and release Progeny that already have their own zooxanthelae. This should be easier. I think several people, myself included, have already reach this step but not able to raise the larvae.

has the majestic looks of the Moorish Idol but far easier to keep and is reef safe
I've read that multiples will school in the aquarium setting.
I don't know why they're so difficult to find.

I read about this trimma variety called Trimma Caudomaculatum. It was yellow and had purple on its fins, kinda reminded me of a reverse royal gramma but I have no idea any thing else about it. Can't even find anything online, anyone have a clue?
