Let’s have some fun!

What is your favorite element, and why?

I’ll start different threads in upcoming days on least favorites, as well as chemicals (as different than elements; phosphate is a chemical, P and O in phosphate are elements).

You might like gold or platinum for looks, helium for balloons, lawrencium if your name is Lawrence, etc.

So what’s your favorite element?

Bromine or Mercury...both are incredible with awesome properties at room temperature and there are many other cool things about them although we don't want them in our tanks!

Americium.

When first thinking about this question, I initially found no emotional attachment to any of them. They just are here doing what they are suppose to do. Then a happy memory popped up from the days in my basement chemistry lab growing transition metal salt crystals on a string. Copper sulphate could be my favorite for the blue color and shape of the crystal. Nickel chloride just for its color comes in second. And in third place, chromium just for the shear size of a the crystal I grew, a 1 lb, chrome alum octahedron.

For the tank - Aminos

Me - Beer
