Yes that looks exactly like it. Thank you! Ok how do I get rid of it? My CUC dont seem to be eating this stuff.

I had turf algae in only one spot about a year ago. My tangs seemed to keep it under control, but it didn't go away until I brought my nitrates below 15ish. What are your NO3 and PO4 #'s?

I just checked my nitrates and phosphates. They are super low.
Nitrate 0
Phosphate 0.024
I have been trying to raise them up but no matter how much I feed its not helping and also I have turned off the skimmer for a few days.

I had a little show up around month 4 vibrant quickly took it out.

do you have hermits? Blue leg hermits would make quick work of that

I do have blue hermits and emerald crabs. They dont seem interested. My kole tang picks at it sometimes but it's not doing much.

Strange for sure; I have about a dozen of them and introduced a frag from a friend a few days ago with a plug that was covered with it and within an hour it was clean white from the hermits. How many of them do you have? Maybe try adding a few new ones?

I bought some Vibrant, gonna give that a try. On a second note, how can I raise my Phosphates? I have been feeding more than normal and still very low?

Also reduce whites to 15% and are you using RO water or tap?
Before treating with vibrant, siphon as much green mass as you can.

Yea I'm using RO, I tried scraping it off but its really stuck on, I got a new razor blade and it wouldn't even cut it off it would like glide right over it. Its really weird stuff never experienced this before.

By any chance , is your tank at or near a window??

I did add an Aqualife T5 Hybrid, I was running xr15's and then added the t5's and thats when it started to appear.

Try reducing lighting...by intensity or duration. Im sure ur phosphates arent that low... but rather being used up by the algae. Try that keep testing and see how it goes.
