What orientation do you have your UV mounted in?

I considered that also. I don't think there is a right or wrong way to do this. (unless the manufacturer stipulates a designated orientation.
One thing that I would recommend is making sure that the UV and the pump run on the same circuit. If you trip a breaker, make sure that they both power off together.

Having them on the same power source is a good tip. Since mine will be powered by my Apex, I'll setup some rules for this. I'll also have a flow sensor on that leg of plumbing, so I can use that to help things out as well.

It's hard to tell, but do you have it at a bit of an angle-- doing so is supposed to keep bubbles from collecting, by allowing them to bleed through the system.

I want UV sterilizer but didn't want to run another pump. A pump just for the UV. Pump would match flow rate on the UV. Those of you that run it off your manifold. How do set flow rate?

Mine is not plumbed yet, but I plan to have a dedicated pump feeding the manifold and then a gate valve to control the flow rate to the UV. I will have a flow sensor between the gate valve and the UV to ensure that it is dialed in correctly.

Are you guys that are running apex flow sensors not having a problem with them restricting flow more and more as they are used? I found mine to be a total waste of time and required weekly cleaning to even come close to measuring properly. I now have a t valve I flip that bypasses thru a $40 liquid metering device for dialing in gph for the uv when needed.

The pump and the UV are controlled by the Profilux, so that feed pauses and maintenance tasks shut down both together.
