What polyps are these and how to I eradicate them?

Thanks everyone for the advice, and this advice about the toxin I will pay close attention to.

I wish I knew which angel ate these.

I am thinking that I need to place some in my 500G and watch intently which Angel does it.

Wireless camera may help here. This way you can visually see any progress as you walk by then later go back to the video in case the fish are shy

Once you hit plague proportions things like aiptasia x are useless. Isn’t that effective on palys anyhow. Either you have to remove the rock or find a predator. Need to be very careful given the amount of paly toxin contained therein.

A biological control is necessary. Pyramid or zoster will eat Xenia and some clove polyps but not palys. Large angel is likely required. Asfur and emperor keep my tank clear of zoas and palys. latter is tough on chalice though.

If anyone has any suggestions for green hairy mushrooms I’m all ears.

Irresponsible fish keeping aka lazyness if you ask me lol. I have palythoas that explode but i kept then seperated and on a rock by themselvs.. if i notice anything odd i remove it on my rocks immediatly.

I think you need to just take all the rocks and everything out and toss them and start over with clean new dry rock from like amazon.

FYI, these palys do not need to be separated as they will travel well on their own. Very difficult to contain these babies. Good luck!

I've also heard the white / black version of the Pyramid butterflyfish clears Xenia. I think that is the Zoster or black?

Back to Ford (not going to lie that I'm sad the GT350 is no longer being made) - that is a lot now that I see the photos I forgot to ask is this a reef or fish only?

Got to watch out for butterflyfish yes some will eat Xenia but aso like to eat every coral in tank! I have a "clarks butterflyfish" in my tank he eats Xenia or keeps it at bay but will pick on other things to so watch out!

+1 Texas Trash. I was on a mission to find easy corals and ended up with these and some xenia. Half of my tank was covered and looked pretty cool actually. I got a filefish for aiptasia and when it was done, it ate all my xenia and texas trash palys!

Sometimes the filefish won't eat what you want. One method is to quarantine the fish with some aiptasia or coral and starve until it gets a taste. I had a frag tank that was full of aiptasia. I kept mine in there for a couple of weeks before transfer to display.
