I got the Carib sea 10 pound rock from live aquaria because they where selling it for less than Amazon.

I’m not against buying online but if you can support your local fish store. Small businesses need as much help as possible. And usually where there is a lot of money there are nice fish stores. I’m sure there are tons in LA.

I hear ya. I have yet to order online because I can’t justify the shipping cost and any store in my area can order what I want. Also it’s fun to go into stores and talk with people and you can learn a lot that way.

I haven’t been to any in the area but earlier I googled some places and looks like there are some nice stores in your area. When I visit I stay with a friend in Sherman Oaks. Next time I visit I’m definitely gonna go venture around.

What is this brown stuff on the sand? And why is the anemone turning lighter?

if you got the kessils it is probably the added light causing it to bleach. turn the lights down to where they just turn on for the next few days if you havent. you need to acclimate the anemone to the light over time as it has been under very low light conditions before
