What skimmer are you currently using?

SWC 160 cone. I like the fact that it has a small footprint, and can be completely disassembled for cleaning.

Coralife super skimmer 220 body with a sedra 3500 pump. Works like a champ.

Bubble magus nac6 with needle wheel impeller on the 29g biocube. Very nice performance. Takes very little space and is unbelievably quiet.
On the 60 cube i use Reef Octopus Diablo-160xs its performance is great but its very loud.

I had a Warner Marine K2 on my 90. Excellent skimmer but it was a bit oversized. I am not a huge fan of the Sicce 2500 pump though.

The K2 will be MUCH too large for my new Elos Mini though
I'm probably going to run a Tunze 9002 until I can find something small enough for the sump... Possibly an ATB Mikro if I can find a good price on a used one.

Bubble Magus NAC6. Was on a 50g and now a 75g. The skimmer itself works without issue and produces good skimate.

Only issue i have with it, is that the mesh wheel impeller needs frequent cleaning. If not, it will produce a humming/vibration.

I've got a Hurricone Cat 2 with a Bubble Blaster pump on a 180g. It was tricky to dial in, but I'm very pleased with it - quiet and easy to clean!

I use a Bubble Magus nac-6 on my 90. I hate it. It works great for a few days and then starts overflowing the collection cup like crazy. All of my param's are good it just goes crazy. I've emailed BM and the vendor I got it from and have had no responses. I just ordered a new mag pump for the skimmer I used to use and i'm gonna take the bm off line clean it and stick it back in the box.... My other skimmer is a modified scum sucker(same design as a lifereef skimmer) never had any issues with it, don't even know why I bothered to buy a skimmer..

SWC 150 because of small foot print. Very quiet and I have full easy control on whether I want wet or thick skimmate. I seldom turn pump off, only once every 3 months for clean up. I have it about 1 year and 7 months, very happy with it, especially great customer service.

ATB 840 V2. Can't beat it IMO, at least on a tank around my size and as heavily stocked as I am.

On my last tank I had a Warner Marine K2 as well. I am looking to add another WM skimmer to my next tank as well.

Curious if you have sock filters and if the overflowing happens when you change them out. My skimmer will overflow when i change out the sock. Obviously, since that happened the first time, I just dial the skimmer back for a little while and then back to normal setting after the foaming stops. Really not sure why that happens as the water level doesn't really change and my replacement socks are always clean.

Have you used chemi clean or anything like that. That will make it over flow. If the big blue air inlet gets clogged it will over flow. I have the same skimmer and love it. If its new it takes a little adjusting to get it right and mine has to be in around 9" of water to run correct. I had to change the impeller but other then that you cant beat it for the money. Super quiet also. Ive also heard that if you get fumes from furniture polish around it that it will over flow.
