What soap do you use to wash your handswith?

Look behind you 10 posts ago lol
I wasn't sure if you actually had tried it. 10 year old reefer. Sometimes I wash my hands and then have to reach something in his tank.

Mainly I believe it’s the moisturizer and perfumes in the decorative type soaps that have Ill effects. I’ve had to stick my hands in the tank after using a commercial soap. Nothing happens due to a aggressive clean water hand rinse. I read the ingredients of that soap and it’s natural sea salts, so if you use non-perfume coated Epsom salt and scrub your hands with it, it does just the same.

Thanks. It has always concerned me.

I wash with almost any soap, but mainly a mix of dawn and water in an old bottle of hand soap so it foams and rinses off well.

I'm not really concerned about most soaps used sometimes because afterward I use a mix of 50/50 RODI fresh and white distilled vinegar sprayed on my hands and dry them before 'diving in'.

They use it on wildlife to remove oil. They don't rinse it in the ocean people...lol
??? I'm sorry you assumed I thought that. I only meant that I support the contribution they make to support wildlife rescue.

I mean, I didn't 'presume' anything. I was laughing because the PR campaign doesn't include washing your fish or tank with it.

I'm not stating it's bad to use, because it's not..I have Dawn on the top of my sink like many other American consumers. Just that it's not biodegradable.

With Hawaii's recent ban on certain chemicals found in sunscreen, I took another look at the ones I had around the house. That's all there was to it.

That's great. I'm glad to see some more eco friendly products too.
