I personally like waterbox, but is there another company out there that provides tanks, stands and the same quality for a reasonable price ? Looking to get a few different options.

The sump for the waterbox looks really basic for the price your paying tbh

Quite a few, Redsea, Cade, Waterbox, Reef Octopus. SCA Aquariums. Then you can go custom and go with Miracle Aquariums, Planet Aquarium, Glass Cages, Reef Saavy (Best, but long wait).

Just depends on price point, what you are looking to get.

I’d add innovative marine to that list. Their stuff is nice. I have 2 and would buy again. But the next time I go much larger so IM will be looked over.

Cade, Red Sea and Waterbox - in that order. Red Sea has stepped up their game of late and addressed the shortcomings with their tanks, Waterbox seems to have a real problem with quality control of late and Cade (from what I understand) has always had a superior product.

So in answer to your question of "which tank company is best", it really depends on your requirements, your budget and what you're looking for in features and options.

I feel as Red Sea is a lot of money for the same thing waterbox provides tbh. but you said they mentioned they stepped of there game.

I disagree if you ever had a waterbox you would despise their stands/sumps. I've had 2. Stand is not even good enough to be called Ikea, sumps are horrible. Tanks are fine. Redsea is at least better than them on that. Though I prefer Cade :)

where do you get Red Sea tanks from, they aren't available on their website.

Saltwater aquarium usually keeps them in stock. Bulk reef sometimes has them
Cade seem amazing just I personally don't like how tall their tanks are. plus they are top of the line price haha

But Red Sea is better though ?

Better than Cade? Personally I think Cade is the best, which is why I just bought one, but it’s all subjective
No like is Red Sea better than waterbox, and does the Reefer 3XL 900 System have a glass overflow ?
And I heard that with Red Sea you can't really get a better sump or different pluming ? Idk about the newer tanks tho.

You could ask that question to 100 different people and get all different answers. It’s all subjective, some people love em, hate em, or don’t have a preference.
something you have to decide on your own based on what’s best for you and what you want.

As far as different sump/plumbing, you can change that on literally any tank, does not matter

yeah haha, everyone says different things. the 3XL 900 is a whole 1.6k cheaper than the reef XL on waterbox but that kinda worries me as in quality wise ?

I’ve had Red Sea, Visio, Clear for Life, Aqueon, MarineLand, and Innovative Marine is my latest. I’m very happy with it and the quality is very good. Customer support from them has been great too.

from my understanding, red sea uses proprietary plumbing parts.
