What temp do you keep your tank?

Oh I'm sure there is dust/dirt that gets in there... parameters stay fine though so I don't know if it's having any effect on the tank... eventually I'm going to enclose the garage and make it an office/fish room/game room so it will be air conditioned but I don't see that happening anytime soon. ;p. No way to close it off right now being the garage door track is in the way. :/

I kept things at 77 for a couple of years, tried 75 for a while for a Tonga clam since it's a cool reef, but when it died anyway b/c of pyramid snails I have now been running at 80-81. Growth is higher now, but hard saying it that is because of the 5-6 degree change in temperature or just because the corals are bigger. I have not seem many changes though.

79-80 F LEDs, no chiller, S. Arizona average temp 105 if I am lucky.

I'm the crazy one I guess but the oceans always changing with cool and warmer currants, storms, clear sunny days so the temps aren't a set 77 degrees. So I keep ours 76-82 depending on the days weather when it hits 81 ac is going on n fans kick on so it drops back down slowly again.

My tank usually varies between 76-85 throughout the year. One side of the spectrum in the summer, the other in winter. No problem.

The highs & lows of this variation rarely happen though. Being that it's about 103 outside right now, today is one of those days.

77-79 through the day. These South Carolina summers are rough though and during the middle of the day the tank can get a few degrees warmer due to it being upstairs in the house. Heater hardly has to do any work during these months, just a bit over night.

Mine stays between 78.5-80 with no chillers or fans. Everything seems happy.

isn't the real question which thermometer you trust the most, my heaters are set at 79, those calibrations are slightly off which i like because it kinda switches between the two heaters, digital in display says tanks anywhere from 80 - 81.3, scoop the water out and with other meters its 77.6
