What temp do you run your tank at?

78 year round. Since I live in South Florida, I don't even need a heater.

79.2 to 79.9 Most of the time stirs at 79.3.. At at 80.1 I have my fans come on until it drops back to 79.5 then they go off. Last went we had a stretch when it never got about 20 degrees and tank never dipped below 79 for more than a few minutes.

When the temps get in the high 90 or over 100 for the most part can keep it at 79..

I cool with one 120MM CPM fan, but do have 4 120 blowing heat out of my canopy.

Sounds to me like you should add a heater or two. Did you know that corals stop metabolizing (growing) at temperatures below 76 degrees. At lower temps everything grows (and metabolizes proteins, etc. including ich, and its believed RTN) more slowly also. That's why most reefers keep their reef at around 78. The range that reefers keep their tanks at are from 76-82 F. Very few keep reefs at or above 80 but corals can handle it no problem.

Having said that, I have my Ranco controller set to come on a low set point of 78 and shut off at 79. I have it set to turn on my room AC at 80. I have three 250 heaters to keep my 400G system warm in the Seattle winters with an unheated remote tank room. My AC III usually reads 77-78.

Sorry, not a simple answer.

That was for the first couple days. I'm locked at 78-79.
