After dipping it went into my frag tank that isn't connected to the main system so I can keep an eye on it

The last thing I need is for them to hatch and come crawl in my ear lol

Again +1 on aliens the orange stripes are it's spawn awaiting birth to invade your tank as soon as they have reached full gestation, feed it some human blood or let it feed on your sps for a few days voila invasion complete

+1 on colonial tunicate. They have all kinds of amazing colors and patterns. remember the specimen you have is in very poor condition having been dipped, exposed to air, and not treated with the kind of care tunicates need. Each of those orange lines represent an "individual" tunicate that has become part of the colony. It is kind of like how cells combine to form organs.

This whole thread made me lol. Hope you figure out what it is, however. I have never seen it, but I think it's awesome!

I wouldn't worry about them growing over your zoas. I have had these in my tank before, they must not like the light very much because there was a big patch of them on the underside of one of my rocks. I noticed them when I was redoing my rocks and tried to get them into a position where you could see them in the tank, they didn't last very long after that. My guess was they don't like the light which makes sense if they were on the underside of your rock as well.

what the heck! lol.

They will definitely grow over the zoas and have already started to.

hi there is it stationary. Why i ask is that one evening when feeding my fish i often give a bit of lance fish to my red star fish. He was happily manuvering the piece of fish when this pink jelly "thing" came out from under a rock and climbed on to the star to get at the lance fish. The red star dropped the fish and couldn't get out the way quick enough. He wasn't happy. The jelly slid back under the rock. It was creepy. I only saw it for a few seconds but it was very flat and pink. No obvious head etc. But your pic put me in mind of it.
