+1 It’s a bristle worm.
Please be very careful touching/holding them. They release their bristles which can be extremely irritating. They are very fine and can get in your skin/eyes.

I wouldn’t recommend touching it with barehands again ;Nailbiting

They are a cleanup crew member, but depending on the tank they can populate and grow out of hand.

Oh man I hope you didn’t get stuck with any of its spines...it’s like getting fibreglass stuck in your skin! Yes it’s a bristleworm. Good cuc, eats detritus, left over food ect. Next time wear gloves when handling anything you are unsure about.

If you get bristleworm spines in you, a soak for a couple of minutes in vinegar will dissolve them. I keep a 5 gallon bucket of white vinegar for this and soaking equipment in, in the fish room.

Safe (for the most part), beneficial, clean up crew. Can irritate things out rubs against, but it's usually pretty minimal.

Try taking duct tape or something similar and laying it where the feeling is, and pulling them off or use a tweezers to remove the bristles

Very valid point. This is also very important when diving or snorkeling. I picked up a Fire worm once when I was younger and my whole hand went numb. scared the s*** out of me.
