So tank is currently

blue yellow belly regal
Scopas tang
coral beauty
1 green chromis
Black clown
Picasso clown
Timor wrasse

thinking to add midas blenny,

not sure to also add either tomini tang, wife wants a sailfin-yet it will outgrow tank-180g mixed reef

thinking only adding two fish-looking for larger reef safe fish, not a fan of foxfaces…

Scopas are very aggressive, not saying a 180 is small, but will be hard to add any tangs of the Zebrasoma/Sailfin tangs without the Scopas bullying it. Tomini should be good as it's appearance is different enough that it shouldn't create aggression. Foxface are great algae eaters and peaceful fish, they make a great addition to a larger reef. All mine does all day is eat off my rocks.

Midas Blenny is a great addition into a mixed reef. They tend to like little areas where they can swim into and hide. Very fun fish though. Tomini's are great as well, just would have to keep an eye on how it would get along with the scopas.

My scopas is a sweetheart so far, probably have had for 3-4 years

That's because you don't have other tangs. I promise you they're not sweethearts. Especially you having only that one it has most certainly established dominance over the whole tank.

If you add another similar looking tang at this point it is likely that it will bully it to the point of death unless you have tons of hiding spots in a tank that size unfortunately.

There’s a blue yellow belly regal in tank-they dont bother each other

Less chance of aggression because those don't look so alike. It's weird but I promise the Scopas will bully other tangs of similar species. Seen it firsthand myself.

It's typically towards tangs with similar body types. I will say that I have added a Purple tang with an established Yellow tang with success. I will say that this is typically not how these situations always play out. The yellow tang was very territorial at first and could of easily gone the other way. Just have to be willing to watch closely and have a secondary plan if fish don't play nicely. That being said I agree with Aspect Foxfaces are fantastic fish and are great algae eaters as well. But I can understand if your looking for something different.

It's possible to have success with tangs of the same species, if you are going to add another tang of a similar appearance you should try to add one that is larger than the one that is currently in your tank to deter aggression, although will still happen at first, the larger tang will be able to defend itself/get away easier. Fortunately, I was able to add a Purple tang after already having a Scopas but I have tons of hiding spots and a 400 gallon tank. Nonetheless still the Scopas was quite aggressive at first.

Went to go get the foxface that my LFS had, yet the top portion of his body along where his black spot was-body had a whiteish grayish hue on his upper body

seemed to eat fine, but not sure if nust maturing and color filling in, but took a pass for now…

Foxface change colors depending on how they're feeling. It's normal.

As you’ve had the tang that long, I doubt it’ll allow ANY newcomers. Trust me, I had a scopas and I believe only an 8’ tank can sustain their aggressive behaviours.
As said above, yours may be a sweetheart with current fish but add any more and it won’t be. I have seen firsthand aggression from this species with a Copperbanded Butterfly that was established in the first tank until I had to downgrade and then the scopas took revenge.

Foxfaces will change colours depending on if they’re stressed/scared or happy. Or even just if they’re asleep, you’d be surprised at how many colours a foxface will go in just a day.

I currently own a Siganus magnificus and have never owned a Siganus vulpinus or Siganus unimaculatus (Currently on a streak of 2 with Siganus magnificus out of 2 rabbitfish I’ve owned). So I can’t really say whether the colours you’re mentioning are normal or not if it is a Siganus vulpinus.

Well will find out if this is recipe for disaster

got a foxface and a blue eye bristletooth tang to add….we will see how it all plays out

Fingers crossed everyone plays nice! Won't be surpised if there is some aggression that is to be expected just keep an eye on things and see how it plays out.

I have this exact same pairing and mine almost never fight. I believe I only saw them fight once and I honestly can’t say what it was over as they had been peaceful for I believe 18 months. Ever since they have been peaceful though and they’re both over 2 years with me now.

We will aee how scopas and blue tang react

i dont see blue eye bristletooth often aroubd my area-then again havent sought it out but really liked his coloration for a smaller tang
