what wrasse for biocube 29

The pink streaked is my all time fav when i had my biocubes running, I had a tanaka's possum wrasse in the other. They are both great fish, the pink streaked being out more; while the possum more cryptic, with that bright red color.

why are you not a fan of 6-line wrasses?

No shortage of horror stories about them. Many people report no issues and then suddenly one day they just snap and start harassing and killing other fish.

@the OP, the Possum and Pink Streaked are the best suited wrasses for your size of tank. I suppose the McCosker's could work in a pinch but I wouldn't recommend it. Flashers also have a tendency to be a little more delicate than the other varieties.

What ones do?
The following genera sleep in sand: Coris, Halichoeres, Anampses, Macropharyngodon, Pseudojuloides, Xenojulis, Pseudodax, Hologymnosus, Cheilio, Xyrichtys, Novaculops, Stethojulis.

FWIW my possum wrasse is super active in my 29. Always exploring from dawn to dusk, all over the tank. Never hides. My royal gramma even shows him who’s boss once in awhile and he doesn’t seem to care at all. Just goes on exploring the rocks. I’d recommend one 100%.
