What's a good food for corals?

Oyster Feast. Home blended coral food, (used to be $5)

Note: There is no need for the Sodium Alginate unless you are using a dosing pump to feed.

I used to use a brand name coral food (that I will not mention), a very fine powdered product, but found that it caused high phosphates. I now make my own by using a known flake fish food and making it into a fine powder with a mortar and pestle. The corals love it…..I’ve never seen my candy cane with as long a polyp extension until I started using this food…..it looks like chi, chi, chi, chia pet, with the polyps soooo long!

Interesting. I would have guessed that flake would have been worse (in regards to phosphate).

+1 I use Cyclopeeze and for things like meat corals and things that i just give them some mysis

I use 3 different foods on a consistent basis... Coral Frenzy, Oyster Feast, and ROE from reef nutrion!!! Fish and Corals go nuts for the ROE!!!
