What's happening to my digitata

I've had the same coral for years that eventually began growing out of the water, so I sold it off to Dr. Mac at Pacific East. The frags I kept started experiencing this exact problem. I'd suggest beginning to dose with Potassium Nitrate to raise the nitrates and target feeding with Reef Roids. This helped mine tremendously.

After lowering my sbreeflights from 100% blues and 35% whites my digitata seems to be recovering. The bit that encrusted have continued to encrust and have started upward growth.

The small colony have also started to grow over the dead skeleton and algea.

Nothing have changed in terms of chemistry. Just light intensity. 100% to 65%. Can't be 100% sure is lights were the only reason.

Good news! These lights can pack a punch and can easily fry corals.

Glad your is on recovery!
