Mine is fish! i love corals but i will get rid of a coral a fish is nipping at before i get rid of the fish!

although i really like all my zoos and corals, i would still have to say my fish. my fish are entertaining and can be so funny, the corals not so much.

Mix, Everything adds to the tank, some fish add color, but its mainly the corals, as for inverts, starfish go very nicely with people but are tough to care for, I really don't know about shrimp, but they look nice.

I chose coral. I love seeing my coral spread around but brightly colored peaceful fish are great too. I also have had better success keeping corals than fish.

as far as shrimp go i have a mated pair of coral banded shrimp and they are really cool. they always hang out together. sometimes if a fish gets really close to their overhang i will see one of them dart out at them. they are kinda funny.

Im not saying not to have coral, im just asking what takes first pri, if your fav fish is picking on a coral what goes first? your 300 dollar fish or you 150 dollar coral?

Definetly corals, If a fish is nipping at my corals its gotta go because chances are the coral is worth more than the fish anyway.

well lets say its ur prize pair of clowns and they take over ur fave LPS coral, which are you getting rid of?

Those clowns will be gone.....easier to propagate most corals vs. breeding clowns that will be worth anything.

for me, that 300 dollar coral gets fragged put in the frag tank and then its gone!

lol, to me a fish brings WAY more life to a reef then a coral, look at the pics of any one who went diving, what do you see in A REEF? TONS of fish more then you can count, to me fish are just as important to a reef as corals, but thats what makes this hobby special theres not really a right way.

I agree that a reef isnt the same without fish, but you asked what was more important. That would be corals for me. if it werent for corals, i would not keep saltwater and all of the expensive equipment for just fish, if all i am going to have is fish ill have freshwater, not as pretty but much more personality.
