Whats on my hammer coral?

hi, how about a head on shot of hammer rt now as is ?

@PokeFBLeague, it looks like the hammer is not happy. Test your water for the typical (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH, calcium, and, phosphates). This will give you an idea of how your water quality is at the moment.

Here is a typical battery of questions:
How often do you do water changes?
Where do you get your water?
If from a store, do you do the changes immediately or do you wait (keep jugs cool and out of hot cars)?
How old is the tank?
Has there been history of this coral doing this?
Is the flesh of the coral on the bottom edge receding?
I see it looks to be a walling variety, is the other mouth doing the same?
Is the bottom edge of the flesh doing the same as the mouth (digestive filaments popping out)?

Let's see what you have to say about the questions and we'll continue. Also, a picture that is straight on is better for us. When you have the camera at an angle and close to the glass, the refraction through the glass causes distortion that is hard to make out detail. Try to keep the camera flat in front of the glass for best quality pictures when up close. Tilt the coral if you can to get a better picture of the area of interest.

Good luck. This trade can be unforgiving but we can try to help you out ^_^
