What's the best ALGAE SCRAPER to use?

I've been using the Tunze Care Magnet for a few years now, but wondering if there is a better one out there. Considering the Flipper. What say you? [emoji16]

I like the medium sized flipper. The larger size the magnets actually seem too strong and make it harder to use. You almost need 2 hands on it.

Had a mag float for years but just recently bought a flipper. I like it so far we’ll see how the blade holds up.

Use a spacer to decrease magnetic pull

the blades dull quickly, it can easily pick up sand, and the little "wheels" can scratch the glass. The Tunze scrapper only touches the glass on the thin blade. MUCH less chance of scratching. I haven't changed the blade in the year I have had it!

Have been running the Flipper for about a year. Blades aren't bad, better than the MagFloat. I am concerned about the scratching aspect and the little feet. Handle that by cleaning between uses... PIA. But overall very happy with it. Will certainly check out the Tunze.

Just stay away from magfloat unless you want scratched glass from a tiny piece of sand

Unfortunately yes, the magnets are crazy strong(you have to be careful with them) but having an acrylic tank limited me in options both because of the thickness of the acrylic and needing something that wouldn't scratch.

I had a flipper, loved it.

Upgraded tanks, now I have a Algae Free Great White Plus. It's awesome.

I love be my flipper. I’ve found that by not leaving it in my tank the blades seem to last longer. I use it take it out rinse it off and dry it with a paper towel and store it till I need to pull it out again.

I use an algae free tiger shark. Was pricey but it’s pretty awesome. Looks nice too and floats.
