the blades dull quickly, it can easily pick up sand, and the little "wheels" can scratch the glass. The Tunze scrapper only touches the glass on the thin blade. MUCH less chance of scratching. I haven't changed the blade in the year I have had it!
You're suppose to change the blades on them?! I've had one for over two years. Hasn't been dry since the day I got it, and still works like a champ. I'll never go back to a pad style magnet.
