Thanks. Agreed. I am not familiar with the footprint of that tank.I usually use Live Aquaria's recommendations, which is 70 gal for a flame angel. They do seem pretty generous at times, but the OP's 26 gal is only 1/3 of that. Obviously dimensions and rockwork have to be accounted for.
I just wanted to point out that if the flame was cramped, that's an added stressor.
The flame angel was the last fish I added, and I added him last August.Did you quarantine your gish before putting them in display tank. It could be ich or velvet
